Abigail Ann Yeagley, 10, died Sunday, November 30, 2003.
Born September 4, 1993 in State College, she was the daughter of Dena Yeagley and the late Andrew Heckman, who also died November 30, 2003.
Abby was a part of the Radio Park Elementary School Community where she was a fifth grade student. She was an avid reader and played the clarinet in the school band.
Abby attended Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church where she had her first communion in April 2001.
An accomplished ice skater, Abby participated in ten "Ice Rhythms" shows at Penn State. She played community soccer and basketball and attended art camps, skating camps, and basketball camps in the summer.
Abby most enjoyed time with her family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Becky Yeagley; her paternal grandparents, Bill and Ann Heckman; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and treasured friends.
Her beloved grandfather, Henry Yeagley, preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 2003.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, on Penn State Campus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Abby Yeagley Memorial Fund, in care of Omega Bank, 117 S. Allen St., State College, PA 16801.
Directions to the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center: From Rte 322 (Bypass) use Park Ave. exit toward the stadium. Continue east to Shortlidge Road. Turn left onto Shortlidge Road following Shortlidge to Curtin Road, turn right onto Curtin Road, watch for signs. Pasquerilla Spiritual Center is just before Paterno Library.
