Adeline Reese (Goodhart) Reese's Obituary
Adeline "Chickie" Reese, 85, of Centre Hall died Friday, August 9, 2013 at her residence.
She was born November 10, 1927 in Millheim, daughter of the late George "Chick" Goodhart and Grace Jodon Goodhart.
On June 28, 1958, she married William Reese who preceded her in death on October 31, 1997.
In 1957 she graduated as an R. N. from the Harrisburg School of Nursing and for many years worked in local physicians' offices. Chickie was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Centre Hall. She devoted her life to animals and children, and enjoyed gardening, knitting, macram, horseback riding, and traveling.
Surviving Mrs. Reese is David Shuey and his wife Renee; her grandchildren Russell and Kim Shuey, Shannon and Jay Reeder, and Scott and Erin Shuey; and her great-grandchildren Ava, Lucy, and Matthew. Chickie is also survived by her
faithful boxer, Knee-high.
A graveside service for family and her close friends will be held Monday August 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, West Church St., Centre Hall, PA, with the Reverend Kevin Shock officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Chickie's memory may be made to Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Highway, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
