Alice M. "Babe" McCloskey, 91, of Coleville, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at her residence, where she was born, with her loving family by her side.
Born on December 4, 1920 in Spring Twp., Centre Co., she is a daughter of the late Harry and Lillian (Campbell) Poorman.
On May 29, 1940, she married Cordes W. McCloskey, who preceded her in death on December 18, 1994.
Mrs. McCloskey was a member of the Coleville Wesleyan Church and especially enjoyed the outdoors, the mountains, and spending time with her family.
Surviving her are two daughters, Darlene M. Brown (Barry Bastian) of Watsontown, and June Wilson (David) of Bellefonte; three sons, William C.(Noreen), Russell E. (Nancy), and Dean L. McCloskey (Kay), all of Bellefonte; one sister, Barbara Hahn of Moshannon; one brother, William H. Poorman of Bellefonte; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and her faithful canine companions, Krissy and the late Benji.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry E. and Russell E. Poorman.
Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 11 AM on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Coleville Wesleyan Church, 326 Lower Coleville Road, Bellefonte, with the Reverend Ron Kilgus officiating. Interment will take place at Centre County Memorial Park, College Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alice's memory to the Coleville Wesleyan Church, 326 Lower Coleville Road, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College.
