Alice Jane Spicer Millinder, 89, of State College, died Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center.
She was born in Milesburg on October 13, 1916 to the late George W. and Bessie Walker Spicer.
On August 14, 1959 she married Harold J. Millinder at the Newton Hamilton Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on August 20, 2006.
She was a resident at the Mount Nittany Residence.
She attended Bellefonte and State College Area schools.
She worked as a housekeeper for several homes in State College.
She enjoyed baking, gardening and flowers.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary Rockey and her husband Grover of Bellefonte, and Ethel Long of Centre Hall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services PC, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801 with the Rev. Howard Woodruff officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Centre Crest Nursing Home, 502 E. Howard Ave., Bellefonte, PA 16823.
