Alvin "Pony" W. Musser, 79, of Centre Hall, died Friday, January 11, 2013, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.
He was born June 10, 1933, in Coburn a son of the late Larry and Grace Bower Musser
On December 8, 1953, he married Iva Yvonne Ripka Musser who preceded him in death April 9, 2011.
During the Korean Conflict, Mr. Musser honorably served his country with the U. S. Army.
He was employed as an electronics technician at Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven, for nearly thirty years. After the closing of Piper, he worked at C-Cor Electronics in State College. Following his retirement, he worked part time for Long's Auto Parts in Millheim as a parts deliveryman.
Mr. Musser was a member of the former St. Lukes United Methodist Church in Millheim, where he held various offices within the church. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, and Penn State and Steelers Football.
Surviving are three sons, William Musser of Georgia, Charles Musser and his wife Sharon of Centre Hall, and Shawn Musser and his wife Joyce of Lewistown; six grandchildren, Austin, Devon, Chuck, Brandon, Mason, and Abby; five great grandchildren, Karenza, Trent, Rylin, Rider and Clint; one sister Ethel Frazier of Millheim and one brother Wendell (Chappy) of Coburn.
Friends will be received from 1 - 2 p. m. Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall A memorial service will follow immediately at 2 p. m. at the funeral home with family friend, and former pastor, Edward H. Putt Sr. officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
