Angelo Pistone's Obituary
Angelo Pistone, 67, of Boalsburg, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College.
He was born in Carini, Sicily, Italy, November 11, 1936 a son of the late Giuseppe and Rosalia Pistone.
On March 1, 1962 he married Vita Mazzola Pistone who survives at home.
A classic immigrant success story, Angelo and his brothers Pietro and Anthony started Brothers Pizza, having and owned and operated and later sold several restaurants. He owned and operated Brothers Pizza in the Nittany Mall for many years.
He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in State College.
Mr. Pistone had a strong work ethic literally working day and night while building his business, and was a devoted family man. He enjoyed being with people, gardening, and playing Italian Cards with friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 daughters, Rose Nicolosi of Boalsburg and Vita Moyer of State College, 1 son, Joseph Pistone of Bellefonte; 5 grandchildren, Angela and Gino Nicolosi, Nicholas and Maria Pistone, and Mikaela Sloan; 3 sisters, Rosa Zingale, Josephine Cusumano, and Carmela Sparacio all of New Jersey; and 4 brothers, Vincenzo Pistone of Italy, Pietro Pistone of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Anthony Pistone of State College and Father Bernardo Pistone of Gettysburg, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Salvatore Pistone.
Friends will be received from 7 - 9 p. m. Thursday, July 15, 2004 at the Eloise B. Kyper funeral Home 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. A prayer service will be held at 8:00 p. m. at the funeral home.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a. m. Friday, July 16, 2004, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, PA, with Father Bernardo Pistone as Celebrant.
Entombment will be at Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA
Contributions in his memory may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, PA 16801; or to The Lymphoma Association, P. O. box 386 Aylesbury, Bucks, HP20 GA
