Anna C. Mace, 80, of Centre Hall, formerly of Humboldt died Sunday, July 8, 2007, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College.
A graveside committal service for Mrs. Mace and her husband George L. Mace; who preceded her in death on September 1, 2004; will be held at 9:30 a. m. Saturday, July 14, 2007, at the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, West Church St., Centre Hall, PA. Friends will be received at Grace United Methodist Church, 127 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA; from 11:00 a. m. to noon Saturday, July 14, 2007; when a memorial service for Mr. and Mrs. Mace; will be held at the church; with the Reverend Judith Hulslander officiating.
Mrs. Mace was born July 25, 1926, in Hazleton, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Schultz Diehl. Mr. Mace was born on November 17, 1928, in Humboldt, PA, a son of the late Stephen and Stella Schoup Mace.
They are survived by three daughters; Linda A. Moran and her husband Michael of Emmaus, Barbara J. Long and her husband Dennis of Centre Hall, and Patricia L. Mikus and her husband Frank of Wescosville; three grandchildren, Kelly Moarn, Bethany Long and Christopher Mikus; three sisters, Mary Howells of Scranton, Frances Diehl of Hazleton, and Peggy Jeziorski of Summerville, NJ and one brother John Diehl of Hazleton, also survive Mrs. Mace. Mr. Mace is survived by one brother Stephen C. Mace and his wife Ann of Fleetwood, PA
Mrs. Mace graduated from Hazleton High School in 1945. She was a homemaker and worked as a telephone operator for Hazleton Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Blessed Virgin Sodality of Hazleton. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and lawn care.
