She was preceded in death by her husband Homer (Bud) Wood, who died in 2004 at the age of 86 after 63 years of marriage, and by her daughter Gwendolyn, who died shortly after birth in 1940. Anne was born in 1917 in Pittsburgh, PA as the second of five children born to Wadeh and Grace Sarraf. She moved to Chautauqua in 1990 following her husband's retirement. Throughout her life, Anne was known as a wonderful seamstress and homemaker, and organizer of school, church, and scout activities. Part of her legacy was her strong faith, and the leadership she gave to the Prayer Fellowship of Hurlbut United Methodist Church in Chautauqua. Another was the sharing of her home and heart with a multitude of family and friends over the years.
