Arthur William Brusila passed away peacefully in State College, PA on June 2 at the venerable age of 96. He is dearly missed by his daughters Barrie Brusila, Kristin Taylor, Sara Lynne Brusila, and their families. He was active through his early 90's and lived independently in his own home until age 95. He spent his last year in an assisted living/skilled nursing facility in his home town.

Arthur graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Business and Engineering management in 1948. He had a long career as an engineer with General Electric from 1950-1987 in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Maryland. In 1978, he earned a M.S. in Technology of Management of Computer Systems at American University. In his early retirement years, he worked as a financial planner and translator for Finnish maps for the Department of State. He also enjoyed tennis, gardening, traveling, and scuba diving. Although a self-proclaimed hermit, he always enjoyed human connections and was devoted to his daughters and their families.
