Arthur C. Dale, Jr., 92, of Bellefonte died Thursday, April 05, 2018 at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.

Born July 26, 1925 in Bellefonte he was the son of the late Honorable Arthur C. Dale, Sr., and Helen (O'Neal) Dale.

Art was a graduate of Bellefonte High School Class of 1942 and Pennsylvania University receiving a Bachelor's degree in Science and a Master's degree in Mechanics.

He was a WWII Army Veteran from 1942-1946, serving with the 10th Mountain Division in the Italian Campaign.

Arthur was an unforgettable presence in the Bellefonte area.  He could be seen meandering the streets of Bellefonte, calling a local radio show attempting to buy and sell all sorts of treasures.  He was always very impressible with his storytelling, his letters, or his love of dark chocolate.

He is survived by his guardian Raquel (Stephen) Ross of Harrisburg and a multitude of friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Frances D. Lanser.

Visitation will be noon until 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA.  A service will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with The Reverend Stephen Durr officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park with full military honors in accord.
