Barbara E. Bubb, 87, of Centre Hall, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her home.

She was born March 27, 1927 in Belleville PA, a daughter of the late Jacob Clinton Bonson and Martha Mary Jane Boyer Bonson.

On October 16, 1948 she married John Bubb who preceded her in death on July 5, 1996

Barb spent a lot of time working on her family's farm and was a homemaker her whole life. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, shopping, gardening, and bingo. She worked on election boards every year and often made scarves and hats for local churches in the area.

Barb loved spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren. They were very special to her.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Bubb of Centre Hall; one sister, Margaret Elizabeth Condo of Centre Hall; three grandchildren, John Keith (Meaghan), Tobi Glunt, and Shayne Norris; four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Alisha, Megan, and Jessica.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by one daughter, Mary Susan Breon; three brothers, James Clinton Bonson, William Bonson, and Lester Boyer Bonson; and one brother-in-law, Lawrence Condo.


Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2015, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Home, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA and Tuesday February 17, 2015, from 1-2 p.m. at Colyer Brethren in Christ Church, 105 Colyer Rd., Centre Hall, PA. The service will immediately follow with Chaplain Chris Thomas officiating.
