Battista "John" DiVito, 96, of State College died April 11, 2017 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born November 27, 1920 in Celenza, Italy he was the son of the late Domenico and Carmela (DaMico) DiVito.

On October 26, 1946 he married Chiarina "Clara" Urbano, who survives in State College.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Carmela Jones; one son, Domenick (Mary) DiVito; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9:30 - 11 AM, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, a blessing service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Reverend Father Neil Dadey officiating. Entombment will be in Centre County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in John's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1375 Martin Street, # 206, State College, PA 16803.
