Obituary

Bernadine Mae (Korman) Cox, 91, of State College, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Greenhills Village.
She was born on April 18, 1916 in Linden Hall to the late Walter R. and Susan Mary Snyder Korman.
She was a 1932 graduate of Boalsburg High School.
She had worked in various jobs in downtown State College including the telephone company, Temple Market, Griggs Pharmacy, and Clearfield Furs. She later worked at Penn State University in the Libraries Acquisitions Dept. retiring in May of 1981. Following her retirement she did a considerable amount of volunteer work with Meals on Wheels and other community groups.
She was a long-time member of the Faith United Church of Christ in State College.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Bjalme and her husband Torsten V. Jr. of State College, Carol Walker and her husband Randy of Green River, WY; two daughter-in-law, Sue Cox of Maryville, TN, Clair (Norton) Cox of State College; twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth "Bea" Guiser and Geraldine "Dolly" Fetterolf both of Centre County; her husband, Clarence J. Cox, Sr. of Millheim; and two sons, C. Joseph Cox Jr. of Titusville, FL and William A. Cox of State College.
Memorial services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Faith United Church of Christ, 300 E. College Ave., State College, PA 16801.
