Betsy Lee Wrye, 51, of Tyrone, lost her courageous fight after many years of illness on May 21, 2012, at her residence.
Born September 12, 1960, in Bellefonte she was a daughter of the late Ronald Leroy and Molly Jean (Waite) Brooks.
Betsy was a loving mother and grandmother. She helped raise many children over the years. She was a friend, a confidant, and a great sister who had a zest for living life.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Roy Wrye; four sons, Joshua Lee Wrye (Alicia) of Port Matilda, Matthew Garrett (Carrie), Benjamin Corey and Nathan Kyle Wrye all of Warriors Mark; a step-son, Brandon Ronald Wrye of Port Matilda, two sisters, Margaret " Peggy" Brooks and Kathleen Waite Kocet (Jeffrey) both of Bellefonte; and eight grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Betsy was preceded in death by her brother David Allen Brooks.
Visitation with the family will be, Thursday, May 24, 2012, from 1:00 PM until the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Private interment will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
