Betty Delores Blair Bennett, 87, of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025. She was born on February 1, 1938, in Bellefonte Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Clarence Ray Blair and Sarah Jane Blair

(Barnhart).

As a child, Betty attended Plum Grove School in Union Township through the eighth grade and graduated from Bellefonte Area High School in 1955. On March 1, 1957, Betty married Carl David Bennett. True to their spirited nature, they married and divorced each other twice, proving that love sometimes takes the scenic route.

Betty retired from the Centre County Vocational-Technical School, where she worked as a custodian for more than 20 years. Betty found joy in baking (especially apple pies and raisin-filled cookies), bowling, playing cards, and crafting. She was a spirited and competitive individual, especially when it came to games. She was an early and enthusiastic adopter of electronic and digital age. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Rae Bennett Schulze (Richard) of Hagerstown, Maryland, and her son, Ronald Carl Bennett of Bellefonte Pennsylvania. She is also survived by a grandson, Father Jamie Ray Workman of Falls Church, Virginia, and a granddaughter, Laura Jane Workman Arndt (Colin) of Hagerstown, Maryland, along with two great-granddaughters, Abigail Taylor Stroup and Victoria Rose Stroup of Hagerstown, Maryland.

The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the Mount Nittany Health Cancer Care staff, especially Dr. Seth and 365 Hospice for their compassionate care and kindness towards Betty over the past several years.

Betty's presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all of us who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be 10 AM to 11 AM followed by the funeral service on October 15, 2025, at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Bellefonte Pennsylvania with Betty's grandson officiating the service. Burial immediately following the service at Centre County Memorial Park.
