Betty Irene Gordon, 92, of Pine Grove Mills, formerly a resident of Bellefonte for thirty six years, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Centre Crest in Bellefonte.
She was born June 7, 1917 in Lewistown, a daughter of the late James R. and Anna Hart Bryant.
On March 14, 1946 she married Philip M. Gordon who preceded her in death on November 6, 2000.
Betty graduated from Lewistown High School in 1934. While living in the Bellefonte area she was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Bellefonte. After moving to Pine Grove Mills, she attended Pine Grove Mills Presbyterian Church. Betty was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed knitting.
Mrs. Gordon is survived by a daughter Donna Ellenberger of Pine Grove Mills; four grandchildren, Stephen and James Ellenberger both of Millheim, David Ellenberger of Gatesburg and Karen Woods of Santa Fe, NM; and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College; with the Reverend Carl Campbell and the Reverend Alex Dyakiw Deacon officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park
