Blaine R. Leister, 95, of Centre Hall, died Monday, November 12, 2007, at Rolling Hills Manor, rural Millmont, PA
He was born June 19, 1912, in Potter Township, a son of the late Philip and Clara Burris Leister.
On June 30, 1931 he married Alta H. Cummings who preceded him in death on May 13, 1998.
He is survived by his daughter Janet B. Dutrow and her husband D. Ray of Mifflinburg; two grandchildren, Dr. Timothy R. and his wife Deborah A. Dutrow of New Columbia, and Sandra J. Cresswell and her husband Ted A. of Mifflinburg; five great grandchildren, Renee St. Clair, Megan Dutrow, T. J. Cresswell, T. Drew Dutrow and Mark Cresswell; and two great great grandchildren, Alexis and Garrett St. Clair.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a great granddaughter Nicole Cresswell.
Mr. Leister was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall, and the Centre Hall Fire Company.
Mr. Leister owned and operated a company which provided white washing services to dairy farmers throughout the area, and also did agricultural spraying, especially fruit trees.
There will not be a public visitation. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a. m. Saturday, November 17, 2007, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA, with the Reverend Ron Warfle officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, West Church St. Centre Hall.
