Bonnie Fohringer, of Centre Hall, died on Friday, September 16, 2005, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College, after battling ovarian cancer since January 2003. She was born on January 22, 1943 in Siglerville, Mifflin County, a daughter of Alberta Faust Wagner of Centre Hall, and the late Wallace H. Wagner.
On May 1, 1965, at the EUB Church in Centre Hall, she married the "life of her life" and best friend, Robert L. Fohringer. While in high school, 1958 - 1961 she worked at Fye's Frosty Kup at Old Fort. She was a 1961 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School. In 1961, she began working at the state College Borough Water Authority as a Customer Service Representative and retired in 1999 as the Assistant Executive Director. She had served as an interim director for nine months. She also served on Centre Hall Borough Council serving as president for several years.
Her husband, mother, and brother, Warren L. Wagner and his wife Deborah of Fredericksburg, VA, seven nephews and two nieces survive her. Her father, Wallace H. Wagner, and a niece, Stephanie Wagner, preceded her in death.
Friends and family will be received from noon to 2:00 p. m. Thursday, September 22, 2005, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, PC, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2:00 p. m. at the funeral home with the Rev. S. Leigh Pick officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
