Bruce Stewart Campbell, 58, of rural Bellefonte, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at his home.
Bruce was born September 23, 1953 in Wheeling, WV; a son of the late William Bruce and Laura June Stewart Campbell.
In 1971 he graduated from Triadelphia High School in Elm Grove WV. He went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University. Mr. Campbell honorably served in the U. S. Air Force from October 10, 1973 until June 4, 1979.
While living in the Bellefonte area he worked as an engineer in communications development for C-Cor at State College.
He thoroughly enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving him is one sister, Elizabeth Anne Moore of Gahanna, OH; a niece Amanda Marie Moore; a nephew Alex Nicholson Moore; an uncle Bill Stewart and two aunts, Martha Kirchgessner and Nancy Swickert.
Friends will be received from 3 -4 p. m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at Fillmore United Methodist Church, 2622 Buffalo Run Road, Bellefonte, PA. A memorial service will follow immediately at 4:00 p. m., with the Reverend Duane Bardo officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
