Carol "Jean" Long, 64, of State College died Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born June 11, 1946 in Bellefonte, PA she was the daughter of the late Virginia (Gummo) Breon and Carl Jodon.
In 1982, she married Eugene Long who survives.
Jean was a homemaker and babysitter, becoming more like a surrogate mom to her small charges. She loved auto racing and collecting ceramic chickens.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a brother, Donald D. (Delores) Breon of State College; a nephew, Donald L. (Kaye) Breon of MD; two great nieces, Anna and Jenna Breon; several cousins and one aunt.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College.
The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Reverend Ronald Miller officiating.
Burial will be private at Centre County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
