Obituary

Carole Cook, 87, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Embassy of Hillsdale Park. She was the widow of Stanford Cook.

Born October 24, 1938, in Bloomsburg, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Hilda Adams.

Carole graduated from the Geisinger School of Nursing and spent over 40 years working as an operating room nurse at Mt. Nittany Medical Center and continued volunteering there after retirement.

She and her husband enjoyed home and away Penn State football games where they were avid tailgaters. They liked entertaining at their home. Carole served as a deacon at State College Presbyterian Church. She loved her pet poodles and flower gardening.

Surviving are her son, Todd Cook; daughter, Jodi Cook Walters (Dennis); brother, Richard "Dick" Adams (Suzie); sister, Joan Conrad (Bill); and 7 nieces and nephews, Dennis, Lisa, Karen, Rich, Scott, Kristen, and Shawn.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
