Caroline S. Yearick, 75, of Centre Hall, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township.
Born on October 1, 1934 in Union Twp., Centre County, she was a daughter of the late Boyd E. and Louise E. (Hall) Tice.
On June 28, 1952, she was married to Walter E. Yearick, who survives at home.
Earlier in life, she was employed at Gettig Engineering in Spring Mills.
Caroline enjoyed baking, reading, tending to flowers, collecting beanie babies and hummingbirds. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities.
Also surviving are five daughters, Cheryl Shrontz and her husband Arley of Norfolk, VA, Rosalie Owens and her husband Daniel of Centre Hall, Mary Fye and her husband Donald of Moshannon, Kathy Yearick of Lehigh Acres, FL, and Dawn Reinecke and her husband Allen of Chapin, SC; three sons, Wayne Yearick of Pleasant Gap, Gregory Yearick and his wife LuAnn of Centre Hall, and Gordon Yearick and his wife Stacey of Centre Hall; three sisters, Dora Resides and her husband Merle of York, Thressa Crum and her husband Thomas of Fort Myers, FL, and Beverly Small and her husband Rodney of York; two brothers, Clark Tice of Florida, and P. Leonard Tice of Siler City, NC; twenty-one grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Gwen Yearick in 1953; two brothers, George and Edgar Tice; and two sisters, Mary Tice and Lilah Smoyer.
Family will receive friends from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Centre Hall. Graveside Services will be conducted at 10 AM on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Zion Cemetery in Zion, PA.
