Obituary

Catherine "Babes" Watkins Bryan, 82, of Bellefonte died Friday, September 21, 2012, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
She was born on February 9, 1930 in Bellefonte, a daughter of the late Leroy and Helen (Lyons) Cowher.
On December 23, 1948, she was married to her first husband, Gilbert "Gib" Watkins, who preceded her in death. On July 10, 1981 she married Lee Edward Bryan, who preceded her in death on November 2, 2005.
Catherine had attended Bellefonte area schools.
She was a homemaker and was raised in the Protestant Faith.
Mrs. Bryan enjoyed celebrating family holiday events, camping, fishing, bingo, gardening, and watching sporting events.
Babes is survived by her four children, William "Poss" Watkins and his companion Shirley of Woodward, Gilbert "Abe" Watkins of Bellefonte, Dianne "Dine" Matis and her husband Joe of Bellefonte, Tracy Watkins and her companion Skip Holderman of Pleasant Gap; six stepchildren William "Bill" Bryan and his wife Gloria of Milesburg, Thomas Bryan and his companion Donna of Bellefonte, John Bryan and his wife Donna of Millheim, Rodney Bryan and his wife Karen of State College, Bonnie Wolfe of Bellefonte and Patricia "Pat" DeBrasky and her husband Joe of Bellefonte; four sisters, Lucy Peters, Jean Walizer, June Confer, and Helen Confer, all of Bellefonte; one brother, William Cowher of Bellefonte; four grandchildren, Jason, Joey, Casey, and Lyndsie; four great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Michael Eugene Watkins; a step-son, Marvin "Bud" Bryan; a sister, Donna Schlegel; and two brothers, Joseph "Bud" and George Cowher.
Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Services on Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. The funeral services will take place at 1:00 PM at the funeral home on Monday with Pastor Calvin J. Miller officiating. Entombment will follow at Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
