Catherine V. Meyers, 94, of Centre Hall, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Wynwood House.
Born on April 20, 1917 in Hollidaysburg, she was a daughter of the late Bruce Robb and Myra Butler Dullen.
On January 19, 1935, she married G. Clifford MeyersSr. who preceded her in death May 6, 1972.
Following the death of her husband, Catherine went to work in the housing division at the Pennsylvania State University, retiring in 1985. She was a devoted homemaker whose home was truly her haven. She enjoyed gardening especially working with flowers.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Centre Hall, where earlier in life, she taught Sunday School and belonged to the Women's Society of the Church.
She is survived by two sons, G. Clifford Meyers Jr. and James B. Meyers (Melinda), all of Centre Hall; one daughter in law, Twila J. Meyers of Pleasant Gap; two sisters, Valerie Weaver (Jack) of State College and Elaine Yahn of Lock Haven; one brother, Philip Dullen (Linda) of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert "Bob" W. Meyers on December 20, 2007; two daughters in law; two grandchildren; three sisters and one brother.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of the Funeral Services on Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM, at the funeral home on Monday, with the Reverend Judith Hulslander officiating. Interment will follow in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, Centre Hall.
