Obituary

Charles C. Rupert "Cliff", 87, of Centre Hall, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 17, 2014. He was born on September 10, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA. On November 8, 1949 he married Lucille F. Rupert, who survives at home.

Cliff was a WWII veteran. He was employed for over 40 years by B&P Motors and was an active member of the Teamsters Union in Pittsburgh, PA. He was an avid reader of historical non-fiction, a life-long sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved jazz music, lively conversation and a good glass of wine. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his beloved family, grandchildren and the love of his life; Lucy, his devoted wife of 67 years. He is survived by his six children, Eileen F. Rupert (Peter Jayne) of Asheville, NC; Thomas C. Rupert (Kathy) of Middlebury, VT; Roy A. Rupert (Bobbie Dash) of Coburn, PA; Gary C. Rupert (Denise) of Rebersburg, PA; Carol A. Masullo (Patrick) and Mark A. Rupert (Glenda) of Spring Mills; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

His sharp wit and engaging conversation will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all that were fortunate enough to know him. There will be no public visitation or service.
