Charles "Chiz" Joseph Deibler, 80, of Lexington, SC; formerly of Centre Hall, died Sunday, December 14, 2008, in South Carolina.
He was born March 13, 1928 in Rote, PA, a son of the late John and Anna Krier Deibler.
On March 21, 1951, he married Phyllis J. Condo who preceded him in death July 19, 1996.
Charles was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He retired from Cerro Metals at Bellefonte.
Mr. Deibler was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Centre Hall, the Free and Accepted Masons, the Shriners Club, and the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks.
Surviving are his daughter Jennie D. Thomas and her husband Robert of Lexington, SC; one son, Joe Dee Deibler and his wife Kay of Fleetwood, PA; two grandchildren, Elizabeth K. Castens and Sarah Anne Thomas both of Springfield MO; and one sister Evelyn "Ink" Mitchell of Rote, PA.
Friends will be received from 11:00 to 1:00 p. m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p. m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at the funeral home with the Reverend Russell L. Sauerwein officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery in Centre Hall.
