Obituary

Charles E. Reside, 84, of rural Wellsboro, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro.

He was born September 18, 1928, in Harrisburg, a son of the late Edgar and Elvira Coy Reside.

On July 9, 1952, he married Evelyn L. Loucks who survives at home.

Charles served in the U. S Army during the Korean War earning the rank of Sergeant.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Southern Pride Company, formerly of Harrisburg.

Mr. Reside was a member of American Legion Post 84 of Wellsboro. He was an avid hunter, and a skilled finish carpenter, who enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Robert Reside (Karen) of Wellsboro; and Marc Reside (Joanne) of Linglestown; two grandchildren, Michael and Jessie Daubert; four sisters, Jean Duval and Cheryl Turner both of Colonial Park, Sandra of Ohio, and Victoria Boltz of Jonestown; and two brothers, Ronald Reside of Florida, and Gregory Reside of Lebanon; and a son-in-law James Daubert.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two children, Charles Reside Jr. and Karen Daubert; and three sisters, Natalie Hinkal, Gloria Baker, and Doris Arnold.

A small memorial service will be held at the family's discretion.
