Charles G. Wissinger, Jr., 83, of Pine Grove Mills, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at home.
Born March 21, 1927, in Johnston, PA he was a son of the late Charles G. Sr., and Emma E. (Ribblett) Wissinger.
On June 20, 1948, in Pine Grove Mills he married Gloria Benson, who survives at home.
Charles retired as the Operations Manager of the Computer Facility at Penn State University, after twenty-four years of dedicated service. He was a WWII, Army Veteran and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, State College.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters; Erica Wissinger of Pine Grove Mills, Deborah (Michael) Landis of Burleson TX, and Kimberly (Robert) Ormay of Oakmont, PA, three grandchildren John Landis, Monica and Sarah Ormay, a sister; Jean Moser of State College, and a sister and brother-in-law; Norma (Dorlin) Hay of Pine Grove Mills.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Charles' life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 26, 2011 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 109 McAllister Street, State College, PA 16801.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Charle's name may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
