Obituary

Charlotte E. Bathurst, 85, of Gilbert, AZ formerly of State College, died Thursday, August 5, 2010 in Arizona.
Born November 25, 1924 in Pleasant Gap, she was a daughter of the late Leslie Clayton and Clara May (Dean) Horner.
On January 18, 1947, she married Calvin A. Bathurst, who preceded her in death on March 11, 1968.
She attended Pine Grove Mills School and was a 1944 graduate of State College High School.
Charlotte retired from the housekeeping department at Penn State University after nineteen years of service. She was a member of the Woodycrest United Methodist Church, where she was involved in their women's club and their bible study group. She also belonged to the bowling league in State College for many years, enjoyed crossword puzzles and growing flowers.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynda Allyson Stover of Mesa, AZ and Gloria Jean Bloom of Orangeville, PA; one sister, Pauline Spicer of State College; three granddaughters, Amy Schmoeller, Kelly Douwstra and Sherry Worsham; and seven great-grandchildren Kyle, Christopher, Kevin, Kylie, Emily, Kaitlyn and Jake.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister Freda McClintic, three brothers: Doyle, Theodore and Harold Horner.
Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Centre County Memorial Park.
