Cherry Ann Beard, 70, of Rural Spring Mills died Friday, November 28, 2003, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, in State College, PA
She was born Sept. 15, 1933 in Centre Hill, Potter Township, PA, a daughter of the late Raymond Addleman and Marion Smith Addleman.
She was married to Charles M. Beard who died Dec. 3, 1979
Mrs. Beard worked as a registered nurse for nearly 25 years, working at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia, Centre Community Hospital in State College, and Centre Crest in Bellefonte.
She was a member of Sprucetown United Methodist Church, Potters Mills, PA and various nursing associations.
Mrs. Beard was a compassionate, giving person who enjoyed gardening, especially working with flowers, and watching the cooking channel.
She is survived by six children; Thomas Beard of Sweden, Anna Beard of Burke, VA, Cheryl, Charles and Arthur Beard all at home, and Jeffrey Joseph of Spring Mills; four brothers, Raymond Addleman of Rural Spring Mills, Jerry Addleman of York, Thomas and Frank Henry both of Rural Spring Mills, PA; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Beard.
Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p. m. on Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p. m., Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. F. Jeffrey Mugridge Officiating. Burial will be in the Sprucetown Cemetery, Potters Mills, PA
