Obituary

Clarence Leroy Klinefelter, of Colyer, died Monday, August 13, 2007, at the home of Dorothy Baird in Rebersburg.
He was born October 5, 1921, in Huntingdon, a son of the late Samuel Clarence and Ruth Mae Horner Klinefelter.
On August 24, 1946, he married Jean Beatrice Younkers Klinefelter who preceded him in death on June 10, 2006.
Mr. Klinefelter is survived by two daughters, Frances McCool and Dorothy Baird; three sons James, William and Leroy Klinefelter; five grandchildren; one great grandson; and one sister Grace Jones of State College
Mr. Klinefelter honorably served in the U. S. Army during World War II, earning a Bronze Star.
Clarence worked at Penn State University as a Janitorial Group Leader, retiring after 37 3/4 years of service. Following his retirement from Penn State, he worked for Kessinger Auto Parts for 7 years.
He was a lifetime member of V. F. W. Post 9575 of Potters Mills and a member of the American Legion Post 444 at Millheim and Post 779 at Old Fort.
Clarence especially enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid and accomplished gardener.
Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a. m. Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall. The funeral will follow at 11:00 a. m. with the Reverend Marvin Freed officiating. Burial will be at Zion Hill Cemetery, Colyer.
