Craig W. Taylor, 66, of Centre Hall, died on Monday, March 23, 2009 at his residence.
He was born October 23, 1942, in Abington, PA; a son of the late Allan J. and Joyce Hayward Taylor.
He married Jane A. Gummerson on October 28, 1978, who survives at home.
Craig graduated from Ambler High School in 1960, as a member of the last graduating class from that school. He went on to study drafting at the Ogontz Campus of Penn State University.
He served in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve during the Viet Nam Era from 1964 to 1968.
Early in life, he worked as a draftsman, and for many years was involved in harness racing. He worked as an antiques dealer since 1975.
A person of varied interest, he enjoyed NASCAR racing, riding his Harley and was a sports enthusiast, but he especially enjoyed attending public sales, garage sales and flea markets.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jesse W. Taylor and his companion Jennifer Miller of Centre Hall; a granddaughter Kortnie; two sisters, Lana J. Wilson and her husband Michael of New Oxford, and Cheryl L. Bagenstose and her husband Brian of Sinking Spring; six nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall. Funeral Services will be held from the Grace United Methodist Church, 127 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall on Saturday, March 28, 2009 beginning at 11 AM with the Reverend Judith Hulslander officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
