Curtis J. Powell, 31, formerly of Lewistown, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in State College. Surviving are his father, Larry Powell, grandmother Shirley Esh; sisters Michelle Bowsman, Shannon and Jocelyn Powell; and nephews Tristan and Alex. He was preceded in death by his mother Rhonda Esh.
He attended Lewistown High School. Throughout his lifetime Curtis worked at Kountry Kitchen Restaurant in McVeytown, Farmer's Pride in Belleville, Empire Kosher at Mifflintown, and Rent Way of Lewistown.
Among the the things he enjoyed most were spending time with family, games on a Playstation, going to the beach, basketball, football, his favorite team being the Pittsburgh Steelers, fishing, riding 4-wheeler, playing pool, listening to music and watching racing. He loved the color blue.
Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family.
