Darline Dee Clarke, 65, of Lewistown, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Jeannes Hospital in Philadelphia.
Dee was born on November 16, 1944 in Titusville, Pennsylvania, and was raised in upstate New York.
On March 8, 1968 in Bradenton, Fl, she was married to George Phillip Clarke, Sr., who survives at home.
Mrs. Clarke was employed and retired from the Thompson Health Center in Canandaigua, NY. in 2007 as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Dee was a member of The-Old Fashioned Baptist Church in Lewistown where she faithfully served her Lord and Saviour.
She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, working on word search puzzles and gardening, but the greatest joy in her life came from spending time with her family. She will be remembered by many as a kind and gentle lady who was giving of herself.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Michele and her husband David House of Canandaigua, NY; one son, George and his wife Rachel of Lewistown, and six grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at The Old-Fashioned Baptist Church, 12260 Ferguson Valley Road, Lewistown, PA. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the church, with her son, Pastor George P. Clarke, Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow at Juniata Memorial Park in Lewistown.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to The Old-Fashioned Baptist Church, 12260 Ferguson Valley Road, Lewistown, PA 17044.
