David V. Brown, 60, of Bellefonte, died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Mount Nittany Medical Center at State College; following a long, hard fought battle with M. S.
Born January 21, 1957 in Bellefonte he was the son of David J. Brown of rural Bellefonte and the late June Ilene Pifer Brown.
David was a 1975 graduate of State College High School and was a CATA bus driver for many years.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Boalsburg. David enjoyed music especially playing the organ and piano, having played in several local musical groups
In addition to his father he is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Clair E. Grubb; one sister, Dee Jaye Behrer (Edward R.) of State College; three brothers, Douglas M. Brown of State College, Daren D. Brown (Veronica) of Bellefonte and Dustin E. Brown (Angie) of Howard; and several nieces and nephews; his step children, Sherry Verette (Darren) of Los Angeles, CA, and Brian Grubb (Monica) of Rebersburg; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and his former wife and good friend Judy Tschachler.
A celebration of life for David V. Brown who died Sunday, April 23, 2017, will be held Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 3:30 p. m. at St John United Church of Christ, 218 N. Church St. Boalsburg, PA with The Reverend Monica Ouelette officiating. Friends will be received immediately following the services in the fellowship hall of the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at the Boalsburg Cemetery. www.heintzelmanfuneralhome
