Dennis Allan Burris 58, of Julian died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.

He was born November 30, 1956 in Bellefonte, a son of Larry Burris, and Nancy Whiteman Burris.

Most of his life he devoted to working in building construction, having worked for Ronald W. Johnson and Penns Valley Building Supply.

Dennis was associated with the Lutheran church. He enjoyed working on cars, especially older Camaros and raising and working with German Shepherd dogs.

Surviving in addition to his father are two sisters, Roxanna Phelps (John) with whom he resided for the past several months, and Penny Tussey (Michael) of Pine Grove Mills; two half-sisters, Tina Marie Lytle of Milesburg, and Lara Steinbeck of Tyrone; two half brothers, Chad Burris of Centre Hall and Larry B. Burris of State College.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 7:00 p. m. at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall, PA with the Rev. LeRoy Reitz officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
