Dennis R. Shawver, 47, of Bellefonte, PA, died Sat., Mar. 6, 2005 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center.
He was born June 1, 1957 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Lawrence and Mary Lou Litz Shawver.
On April 26, 1977, he married Nancy J. Spicer who survives at home.
After graduating from high school, Dennis worked in all phases of building construction, having most recently worked for Dan Wise of Boalsburg.
Mr. Shawver loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, working around the house, and riding his Honda.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Nancy Marie Shawver of Centre Hall, Betty J. Rupert and husband Paul of Bellefonte; 1 son Dennis Ray Shawver Jr. of Bellefonte; 4 sisters, Linda Tipton of Maryland, Kathy Fox of Bellefonte, Betty Crock of Snow Shoe, and Alice Bilbay of Milesburg; and four grandchildren, Samantha Shawver, Benjamin Lynn Mercinger, Zachery Hunter Shawver, and Trinity Elizabeth Rupert.
Memorial services will be private at the convenience of the family.
