Donald C. Cox, 69 of Centre Hall, died Friday, May 9, at Centre Community Hospital.
He was born April 13, 1934 at home in Scotia. He was the son of the late William Fred and Lottie Mae Albright Cox. He was the youngest of 12 children.
Pn Nov. 26, 1952 he married Eva J. "Dolly Garman, who survives at home.
He was a farmer for most of his life, working for Jack Smith and John Cole. He also worked at the Centre Hall Farm Store and in the fleet operations and general stores at Penn State University until his retirement. He also maintained his own lawn care business.
He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and best friend. He will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched with kindness and integrity.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Dan C. Cox and his wife, Joan of Centre Hall, Thomas I. Cox and his wife Pamela of Boalsburg, Bruce A. and C. Douglas Cox and his wife Diane of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Eleanor in Missouri; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; eight brothers, and an infant daughter, Deborah Cox.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p. m. Friday, May 16, 2003 at Juniata Valley Gospel Church, Lower Reese Road, R. D. # 3, Hillidaysburg, with the Rev. David McCaulley officiating.
Friends will be recieved from 2 to 4 p. m. Saturday, May 17, 2003 at Mark D. Heintzelman Fuenral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family, in Fairview Cemetery, Millehim.
