Donald T. McGahan, 79, of Pleasant Gap, formerly of Spring Mills, died Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Oaks at Pleasant Gap.
He was born April 28, 1931, in Hackensack, NJ, a son of the late Thomas F. and Elizabeth Mahoney McGahan.
On February 16, 1957, in Bergenfield, NJ, he married Marie D. Langschultz who survives at the Oaks at Pleasant Gap.
Following his high school graduation, Donald served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. McGahan was employed as a digital network project manager with Bell Communications Research in New Jersey where he was awarded for his work in digital network switching.
Surviving him in addition to his wife Marie is one daughter, Donna Marie McGahan of Australia; two sisters, Rose Margaret Zurheide and Marie Smeallie; and one brother, Richard McGahan.
Two sisters, Elizabeth Simon and Patricia Belven preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held The Senior Community Room at the Oaks, 200 Rachel Dr., Pleasant Gap, PA 16823, at 2:00 p. m. Thursday, October 28, 2010, with the Reverend Brent England officiating. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American cancer Society, 123 S. Sparks St., State College, PA 16801.
