Born December 26, 1953, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Violet Pierce. In 2007 in State College, PA, she married her long-time companion of 42 years, Benjamin T. Townsend, who survives at home. Donna is also survived by her sister, Janice Kistner (Ray) of Chalfont, PA, a brother Donald and his wife of Philadelphia, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by life-sharing friends like Dee Balok of Bellefonte and Cousin Gerri Lakatus of New Jersey. Donna worked nearly 20 years as a case worker for PA Association for the Blind and North Central Sight Services, meeting and working with many wonderful and loving people along the way, too many to mention but all much loved. Her interests were many, and she read over 100 books per year.
