Dorene C. Sturm (71) of Pleasant Gap, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy (and Keith) Oliver and two grandsons; her sister and brother, as well as their families, plus many other family members and friends. She also leaves behind her special friend, Frank Vongehr.

Upon her retirement from SUNY Plattsburgh, she moved to PA to enjoy time with her grandsons. Her active social life included two bowling leagues at Bellefonte Lanes, the Monday Mixed League and the Tuesday Morning Women's League. She was also a member of a Wednesday Ladies Golf League at the University Golf Courses as well as the Penn State Wrestling Club.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at The Mount Nittany United Methodist Church located at 1500 East Branch Rd, in State College, with Pastor Edward Preston officiating. Friends will be received from 12:30pm until the service begins at 1:30pm. Burial will be at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
