Dorothy "Dot" Louise Replogle, 70, of Pine Grove Mills, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center at State College.
She was born February 14, 1941, at Roaring Spring, a daughter of the late H. Fred and Dorothy A. Barefoot Butler.
On September 16, 1961, she married Edward Lee Replogle who preceded her in death January 5, 2006.
Dorothy was a 1959 graduate of Roaring Spring High School.
Earlier in life she worked for the State College School District in the cafeteria at Park Forest Elementary School. In 1976 she went to work at Josten's Printing and Publishing in State College where she worked as a production group leader.
While living at Roaring Spring she attended the United Church of Christ.
She fully enjoyed life, always had a smile, loved to travel and cherished time with family and friends.
Surviving are a daughter Brenda Replogle and a son Brian Replogle both of Pine Grove Mills; and one sister, Susan C. Allison and her husband Dean of Hollidaysburg; a brother in law Gerald Replogle and his wife Barb along with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
At her request there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p. m. Friday May 6, 2011 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, 1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or to the American Cancer Society, 123 S. Sparks St. State College, PA 16801.
