Dorothy S. Houser, 91, of State College, died Thursday, October 6,2005 at The Terrace at Brookline.
She was born on March 14,1914 in Centre Hall to the late Harry and Vergie Kreitzer McClenahan.
On November 3,1933 she married Frederick D. "Fred" Houser who preceded her in death on May 6,1997.
She was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ in State College. Along with being a homemaker she was an excellent cook. She enjoyed crochet and crafts. She was very involved with the church and was a volunteer at the Corl St. School.
She is survived by a son, David Houser and his wife Debbie and their son Matthew all of Howard; three daughters, Jennifer Houser of State College, Beth Houston-Barnhodt and her husband Michael of Syracuse,NY and their sons Steven Houston of Boston,MA and Todd Houston of Syracuse,NY., Judy Harlacher and her husband Shipp of Penna Furnace.; and three brothers, William McClenahan and his wife Evelyn of Centre Hall, Jack McClenahan of Centre Hall, Harry McClenahan Jr. and his wife Alice of Centre Hall.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Margaret Putt, Ethel Naylor, and Peggy Blazer and a sister in law, Freda McClenahan.
Visitation and services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the Centre County Memorial Park.
