Dorothy M. Reiter, 86, of State College died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Scranton.
Born March 1, 1920 in Sykesville, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth Clark.
She graduated from Sykesville High School. On March 1, 1946 she married Eugene W. Reiter who preceded her in death on June 19, 1999.
Dorothy invested her life as a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of the University Baptist and Brethren Church in State College.
Surviving are her son, Gary E. Reiter of Tunkhannock; her granddaughter, Kara Jackson and great-grandson, Devin Jackson, both of PA; her sister, Jean Christy of PA; two brothers, William Clark of FL and James Clark of CO.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn Reiter in 1966.
Friends will be received on Monday, February 12, 2007 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral & Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bonnie Kline Smeltzer officiating. Burial at Centre County Memorial Park will be private at the convenience of the family.
