Dorothy B. Shawver, 92, of Centre Hall, died Monday, June 16, 2008, at her home.
She was born April 7, 1916, at Pennsylvania Furnace, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Ann Elder Walker.
Dorothy was married to Scott A. Shawver who preceded her in death in 1964.
Mrs. Shawver is survived by one son Rich Shawver of Centre Hall, two sisters Sarah "Dolly" Elizabeth Conrad of Florida and Viola "Kitty" Vonada of Centre Hall; and one brother, Stine Walker of Fairbrook.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Olive Walker, and one brother, Bill Walker.
Mrs. Shawver retired from the custodial staff at the Penn State University.
She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, and Progress Grange both in Centre Hall, and a former member of the Rebeccas in Pine Grove Mills.
At her request, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p. m. Saturday, June 21, 2008, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall with the Reverend Barry Folmar officiating. Burial will at the convenience of the family at the Pine Grove Mills Cemetery.
