Obituary

Douglas (Doug) W. Tice, 43, of Pine Grove Mills, PA formerly of Bridgeport, WVA, died Saturday, September 24, 2005 as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident in Huntingdon County.
He was born June 9, 1962 in Bellefonte, a son of Barbara Mong Tice who survives in Bridgeport WVA and the late William Tice.
Doug graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1980. He was employed by C-Cor in State College, and for the last several years as a maintenance person at Raytheon Systems Company in State College.
Doug was an avid sports fan and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed all types of hunting and was especially devoted to archery hunting. He also enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the National Turkey Federation. He also enjoyed pitching Horseshoes and was a member of a Horseshoe league in Huntingdon. Doug avidly supported his sons in baseball and other sports, and served as a coach for little league and the Babe Ruth League in State College.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter Linsy C. Tice of Idaho; two sons, Travis D. and Tyler M. Tice both of Pine Grove Mills; one sister, Tina Tice of Bridgeport WVA and two brothers, Charles Tice of Bridgeport WVA and Thomas Tice of Lost Creek WVA.
Friends will be received from 6 - 8:30 p. m. Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at the Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 3601 S. Atherton St., State College, PA. A celebration of Doug's life will follow the visitation at 8:30 p. m. at the church with the Chaplain Robert Loring officiating. Friends will also be received from noon to 1:00 p. m. Friday, September 30, 2005 at the Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport, WVA. The funeral will folllow at 1:00 p. m. Burial will be in Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, WVA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Doug's memory may be made to the Linsy, Tyler, and Travis Tice Benefit Trust, In care of, Clearfield Bank and Trust, 511 Pine Grove Road, State College, PA 16801.
