Earl E. Leigey, 80, of Moshannon, died on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township.
He was born October 7, 1928, in Karthaus, a son of the late Edgar Earl and Mary Frances (Blair) Leigey,
On March 29, 1975, he married Joanne M. Cain who survives in Moshannon
In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by five children; Earl Leigey, Jr., and wife Gail of Karthas, Sherry Skelton of Bellefonte, Terry Irwin and wife Sue of Carlisle, Ronald Leigey and wife Penny of Spring Mills and Justin Leigey of Pine Glenn; two step-children Cindy Conan and husband Glenn of MI and Elwood McClintic of Moxhan, PA; 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Earl was an Airman in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict,and a truck driver for Bladehawk Cory. He enjoyed spending time with his family and pets as well as fishing and camping.
Family will receive friends Saturday, December 27, 2008 from 10 -11AM at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service PC, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A Memorial Service will follow at the funeral home at 11 AM, with the Rev. Julie Piper officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
