Obituary

Earl R. "Rusty" Lauer, 76 of State College, died on Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at home.
He was born on Aug. 8, 1925 in Davenport, Iowa, a son ot the late Charles Lauer and Cevilia Lingard.
He was married to Louise Weaver who preceded hime in death.
He was a veteran of World WarII, having served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater.
He was a welder, a crew chief and mechanic. He worked for private companies and drove trucks that painted lines and stripes on highways.
He was well respected by all who worked with him and knew him.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by a daughter, Melody Reddinger of Mount Joy; a brother, Charles D. Lauer of Mesa, AZ; and a life companion and Fiancee Phyllis Tate.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Ida. A memorial sercvice will be held at 1 p. m. Thursday, at Mount Nittany Residences, 301 Rolling Ridge Dr., State College, with the Rev. James Gray, officiating.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Meyer Cemetery in Benner Township
