Obituary
Earl R. Smith, 89, of Lemont died Monday, January 25, 2016 at UPMC Altoona.
Born in Philadelphia he was a son of the late Rupert and Dolores (Gable) Smith.
On June 2, 1951, he married Betty Walker who survives in Lemont.
As a young man he enlisted in the US Army AirForce. He was employed by Corning in State College until his retirement. He was very proud he built his own home. Earl's hobbies included gardening, bowling and playing the lottery.
Surviving with his wife are five children Linda McCall (Philip Keith ), Bonnie Tkach (Thomas), Connie Smith, Dennis Smith (Barb) and Stacy Smith; two sisters, Lois Lutz (Paul) and Winifred Kucas, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Donald Reagan "Ricky" Smith; a brother, Kenneth Smith and a sister Dolores Hook.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College.
Burial in Centre County Memorial Park will be private and at the convenience of the family.
