Edmund Frank Iovine, 81, of State College, formerly of Bellefonte, died Thursday, January 26,2006 at the Hearthside Nursing Home.
He was born October 3,1924 in Bellefonte to the late Fred and Rose Sticca Iovine.
He attended Bellefonte High School.
He served in the US Army during WWII.
He worked as a mason for Dietz Building Service Co. for twenty years, then another twenty years for Jack Frost Construction retiring in 1986.
He was a member of the St John Evangelist Catholic Church and the VFW Post 1600 in Bellefonte.
He is survived by three daughters, Brenda K. Anderson of Milesburg, Nancy J. Miller of Bellefonte, Wendy J. Hockenberry of Bellefonte; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Jean Gordon Iovine in 1998 and a sister, Mary Halloran.
A visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, January 29,2006 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services PC, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801. A funeral mass will be held at 2 PM on Monday, January 30,2006 at St John Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, PA 16823 with Father Neil R. Dadey officiating. Burial will be at the Centre County Memorial Park.
